Seattle Hip Hop Film Festival
The 5th annual Seattle Hip Hop Film Festival will feature short films focused on hip-hop culture of the past and present. With a focus on independent artists in the one and only Jet City, the Hip Hop Film Festival will screen narratives, documentaries, music videos, animations, performance-based projects and experimental art pieces. Jeffrey Ikahn looks forward to how elements of DJing, graffiti, and MCing will be honored in these indie screenings.
DreadFest
Step outside of Seattle and head on over to Tacoma for DreadFest — if you dare. Full of ghoulish goodies and hidden gems, DreadFest is a horror film festival that celebrates the macabre and madness of unique voices from the Pacific Northwest. Since 2010, DreadFest has screened some of the most unique pictures in the indie horror genre of the WA scene.
